get enough sleep!
SLEEP! Get enough rest, most people require 6 - 8 hours of sleep per night. NAP! Take a half hour cat nap during the day before 3:00 so you don't interupt your normal night sleep schedule. SLEEP ON YOUR BACK to REDUCE WRINKLE FORMATION - Sleeping on your side increases wrinkles on cheeks and chin, while sleeping face down gives you a furrowed brow. ELEVATE YOUR HEAD! By propping up your head with an additional pillow, you can reduce the eye puffiness you may wake up with normally. These retained fluids will drain away from yor eyes. If you don't like sleeping in a higher position, just elevate your head for the last 20 minutes you are in bed in the morning.

BREATHE DEEPLY EVERY DAY! Shallow breathing does not pull enough oxygen into the body. Make it a point to breathe deeply every day. Going for a walk up an incline is a terrific way to get the heart pumping, blood flowing and oxygenate the blood. If you can't get out or don't have a treadmill, just sit with good posture, breathing in and out deeply for several minutes or walk in place.

AVOID OVER EXPOSURE IN THE SUN! Sun is the number one cause of wrinkles, more important than heredity. WEAR SUNSCREEN on your face every day. Dark-skinned people need more vitamin D from their diet, because their skins absorb vitamin D less efficiently from the sun's UV rays. You can also get vitamin D through foods such as fish, a tablespoon of cod liver oil a day, fortified milk and egg yolks. Vitamin D supplements are also available. We need more as we age because we lose some ability to convert vitamin D into its active form. Most Americans are deficient in vitamin D. If you're fair skinned, experts say going outside for 10 minutes in the midday sun—in shorts and a tank top with no sunscreen on your body for that period of time — will give you enough radiation to produce about 10,000 international units of Vitamin D. Dark skinned people and elderly require 5 - 10 minutes in addition. Supplements should be taken in the winter months when ample bright sunlight is not available. For additional time spent in the sun, be sure to use sunscreen!
